A new ski base is planned to be completed in Muzhi by the beginning of 2023. The modular building is almost ready, specialists are engaged in roofing, the press service of the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported on September 21.

“With the support of Yamal Governor Dmitry Artyukhov and the government of the Autonomous Okrug, ski bases have been built this year in the villages of Gorki and Ovgort. A ski base is being built in the regional center. It will be located at the beginning of the ski track, a favorite place for recreation for residents and guests of the village of Muzhi,” said the head of the Shuryshkarsky district, Oleg Popov.

The building will have a ski storage, locker rooms, a coaching room, and equipment rental will be organized.

Similar facilities are being erected in all municipalities of Yamal on behalf of the governor. Since last year, five bases have already been built: in Noyabrsk, Nadym, the village of Urengoy in the Purovsky district, the villages of Ovgort and Gorki in the Shuryshkar district.

Earlier we said that Yamal residents are popular biathlon. Therefore, it was decided to develop this area of ​​​​sport in the Arctic region.
