As of September 1, 2023, federal budget expenditures on national projects amounted to 1.819 trillion rubles, which corresponds to 63.4% of the planned values. Preliminary data published Ministry of Finance 8 September.
According to the department, most of the funds were implemented under the national projects “Science and Universities” and “Culture”. In percentage terms, this is the same number – 76.9%; in monetary terms, 117.2 billion rubles were spent on the science project, and 42.8 billion rubles on culture.
As of September 1, 72.6% (RUB 570.8 billion) of the “Demography” project had been completed. The least of the annual planned values was spent on the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry” – 41.7%. (RUB 21.2 billion)
In the federal budget, expenses for national projects in 2022 were included in the amount of 3.2 trillion rubles, in 2023 – 2.9 trillion rubles, in 2024 – 3 trillion rubles. In October 2022 the newspaper “News” announced its intention to reduce spending on national projects by 240 billion rubles.
