Businessman Jim Ratcliffe acquired 25% of Manchester United shares for $1.52 billion

British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe has acquired 25 percent of the English club Manchester United, according to the team’s website.

Class B shares were acquired by Ratcliffe’s company. The amount was 1.2 billion pounds sterling, or $1.52 billion.

The businessman said he plans to use the knowledge, experience and talent of his company Ineos Sport “to drive further improvements at the club.”
