Buryat sambo wrestler Aldar Namsaraev won silver at the international tournament

Buryat athlete Aldar Namsaraev won a silver medal at the international combat sambo tournament “Grand Prix” for the prizes of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan. A major sporting event took place in Ufa from September 16 to 18, bringing together about 200 athletes from seven countries.
– Sambo is one of the few sports that is part of the school curriculum. When sports are available, we see results like these,” noted the Minister of Sports and Youth Policy of the Republic, Ivan Kozyrev.
Aldar Namsaraev is currently training at the Khara Moriton sports club under the leadership of Zhargal Zhigzhitov. At the tournament, he pleased the audience with spectacular fights, showing many beautiful techniques and became second in the 58 kg weight category, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic reports.
Let us recall that in April 2023, the athlete won gold at the European Combat Sambo Championship and fulfilled the standard of an international master of sports of Russia. The world championship took place in Israel.
