Buryat athletes won the first medals at the Olympics of the strongest

On the eve of the Buryat sportswomen Irina Ologonova and Uliana Tukurenova won bronze medals in the sports contest of the strongest.
A native of the village of Bayangol, Barguzinsky district of Buryatia, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in freestyle wrestling, Irina Ologonova confidently defeated an athlete from Sevastopol, Kristina Mikhneva, with a score of 5:0.
Uliana Tukurenova, a native of the village of Kizhinga, Kizhinginsky District, master of sports in freestyle wrestling, won the match with a score of 3:2, defeating Anastasia Parokhin, a representative of the Sakhalin Region.
These are the first medals of the republic at the All-Russian Spartakiad. Today, men will continue the fight for medals, the Ministry of Sports of Buryatia reports.
The All-Russian Spartakiad of the strongest athletes takes place from August 10 to October 2 in Moscow, Kazan, the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg. It is one of the largest competitions in 39 sports. The national team of Buryatia is represented by the best athletes in 8 sports, including archery, wrestling, and boxing.
