Bulgari glasses inspired by watches and jewelry – Kommersant

The jewelry and watch house Bulgari released its first collection of glasses together with Thelios (also part of LVMH and engaged in the production and distribution of optics). In the women’s line, iconic motifs from jewelry collections are reinterpreted: Viper snake scales, the Serpenti predatory head, and the signature Tubogas spiral. The glasses also borrowed their names from jewelry. The temples of the Serpenti Viper models are made in the image and likeness of bracelets from gold scales inserted into each other. In Serpenti Forever (glasses are handcrafted), the wide temples are attached to thick frames using a snake head made of colored enamel – exactly the same as the clasps of the Bulgari bags of the same name. The geometric B. zero1 motif is used in both the women’s and men’s collections as a fastening element.

Another men’s glasses, Octo Finissimo, are created in the image and likeness of the famous ultra-thin Bulgari watches in a beveled case. The sun protection lenses have a chopped silhouette with sharp corners, the color of the glass follows the range of watch dials, and the frame is made of lightweight titanium, and, like watches, sandblasted. New seasonal Bulgari glasses boast unusual “jewelry” materials: palladium, ruthenium, enamel. The face of the women’s collection was model Vittoria Ceretti, and Giacomo Cavalli starred in the men’s advertising.
