“I have diabetes”
The Sovetsky District Court of the city of Bryansk is choosing a preventive measure for school security guard Galina Chertkova.
The investigation believes that the woman improperly performed her official duties, in particular, she allowed a student with a weapon into the school.
The investigator added that Chertkova needs to be taken into custody, as she can put pressure on witnesses because she has been working at the school for a long time. At this point, the suspect shook her head.
According to the Investigative Committee employee, 20 witnesses have been questioned so far – teachers, school students and four private security company employees.
During the trial, Galina Chertkova looked good – the woman was wearing makeup and her hair was styled. The suspect is short, thin, and clearly does not look like a private security guard.
According to Chertkova, she has been working as a security guard at the school for 6 years. Before that, she worked for another security organization for 10 years.
“I don’t admit guilt,” Chertkova said. “I didn’t see the girl bring a weapon to school.”
Chertkova added that she has complicated diabetes mellitus and is on insulin. She also has serious problems with her spine and is forced to wear a corset.
The woman lives with her husband and daughter.
“I have excellent relationships with all the teachers; when I’m sick, they call me and say: come back soon, it’s a mess without you,” the suspect adds.
