Bryansk champion Artem Osipenko held a master class for young sambo wrestlers

During the New Year holidays, a series of sporting events took place in the Bryansk region under the auspices of the Ten Days of Sports and Health, the regional specialized department reported. Amateurs and professionals of all ages took part in the competition.
Among the bright episodes are all kinds of fights. Thus, the boys and girls of Novozybkov competed for victory in the Christmas basketball tournament. And in the recently opened sports and recreation center “Yunost” in Vygonichy, mini-football matches among men’s teams took place.
In Klintsy, veterans competed for cups during volleyball battles. Bench press competitions among juniors under 18 took place at the Klimovo sports school, and interregional volleyball competitions took place in Fokino.
The most key event of the week was the three-day training camp of sambo wrestlers in the Bryansk Martial Arts Palace. The event became a meeting place for representatives of Kaluga, Orel, Smolensk and the cities of the Bryansk region.
The gathering was marked by a master class performed by ten-time world sambo champion Artem Osipenko. Novice athletes learned the secrets of the famous wrestler’s exemplary techniques, the department of physical education and sports told.
