“Very early after my serious illness, I started touring, took on a great responsibility to make an unimaginable number of performances. The apogee was a failed concert in Sochi. I arrived not just tired, I could not really stand on my feet. Before going out, she was on a drip. And I decided that if I drink alcohol now, I will go on stage and work like a machine. It did not work out: it all ended with the disruption of the concert. I am not so sorry for my multimillion-dollar forfeits, but for my responsibility and the work of my colleagues, respect and attitude, ”said the performer.
The star also said why she decided to be treated for alcoholism.
“Still, I came to the conclusion that my attempt to escape from problems, ailments, unnecessary impressions, emotions through alcohol, which has already become a habit, does not lead to anything. I realized that it was an addiction, I accepted it and decided to act. Because this is not my life, not my story and not my game. I have been in the clinic for a long time, my musicians support me. My family is very supportive. It was a huge step for me to come here of my own free will and receive treatment. And the same huge step is to say it out loud for you, ”admitted the artist.
The revelations of the star in show business made a splash. Still: many people drink, but only the fragile Maxim confessed. The late singer-songwriter Pierre Narcisse’s ex-director couldn’t contain his emotions when Marina brought up the problem. He told MK about who could be the person who provoked her to use.
– For me, as a public person who works with artists, the news that singer Maksim started drinking was a shock. Because I know Marina for a long time, we crossed paths on the set, on tour, when her director Pavel Nazarov was not yet next to her. She didn’t drink then. The maximum that he drank was a glass of cognac. But this is actually useful for warming up the ligaments, the artists know this. And when in recent months I began to observe her condition after her coma, I, of course, was stunned.
– And how, in your opinion, did her love for alcohol begin?
– Not without the influence of its director Nazarov. My colleagues started noticing her at restaurants with him. He approached her and brought some bottle of liquid, after which her condition changed. Moreover, she also lit a cigarette, although she did not smoke at all. This director, by the way, earlier, under certain, not very pleasant circumstances, broke up with Yulianna Karaulova. Many in the party speak of him in a negative way. I was surprised when Marina hired him. Well, she is a kind soul, that’s understandable. For me, an artist is like a small child: you should always be with him in everything, support him, and not bring him to serious problems. And the director must support the emotional state of the artist.
It is very good that the singer admitted to the problem and is being treated for alcohol addiction. This kind of behavior was completely out of character for her. Earlier, by the way, I was in a similar situation, when I was accused from scratch that I soldered Pierre Narcisse and he died because of me. But lately, Pierre has been flooding himself, no one has provoked him. And I stopped him from this, but, unfortunately, everything ended in a tragic outcome. Thank God that Maxim did not plant her health to the end. She still has to please the audience and raise her children, we all really need her.
