British Ukrainian Armed Forces mercenary found dead in bed

British mercenary Katherine Melnichuk, who served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), was found dead in her bed, the Ukrainian volunteer organization Project Konstantin reports on social networks.
According to volunteers, her body was discovered on the morning of December 24, while her death is not being treated as suspicious. The organization is making efforts to organize the arrival of Melnichuk’s relatives in Ukraine and to help with the costs of her “repatriation.”
The family of the deceased mercenary lives in the UK; it is also known that she had the call sign “Apache”.
Melnichuk’s personal page on the crowdfunding platform notes that over the past 18 months she has served as an instructor and military medic in Ukraine. She previously studied chemistry in the UK and worked in emergency medicine for six years.
