British politician: West blocks the memory of the victory of the Soviet Union over fascism

Western countries are diligently working to “block out the memories” of the USSR’s role in defeating Nazi Germany and freeing the world from fascism, said former British MP George Galloway. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The politician recalled on Twitter that if it were not for the contribution of the Soviet Union, both Germany and the rest of Europe would be “under the boot of fascism.”
“It’s really strange how a perfectly calculated and executed thought block was superimposed on this memory,” Galloway wrote.
The politician also said what if, without the contribution of the Soviet Union, the Nazis would have eradicated the Gypsies, Jews and Slavs, and the world would have been ruled by Nazi Germany with allies in the face of Japan and Italy.
