British guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck dies at 78

British virtuoso guitarist, composer, seven-time Grammy winner Jeff Beck has died at the age of 79, according to the musician’s press service on Twitter.
It is specified that the cause of death of the musician was bacterial meningitis.
“After unexpectedly contracting bacterial meningitis, Jeff Beck passed away peacefully yesterday. His family asks for privacy as they grieve this enormous loss,” the statement said.
Recall that Beck was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and 2009.
