British General Cross: Biden does not want the seizure of Crimea by Ukraine

Former commander of the British army in the Iraq war, retired Major General Tim Cross doubted that US President Joe Biden really wants the Ukrainian army to start retaking Crimea.
“Do we really want Ukraine to regain Crimea?” the British general asked on the air of Times Radio. He continued that the West and Biden want Ukraine to return the eastern lands, but Crimea is completely different.
Answering a clarifying question why Biden does not want the Armed Forces of Ukraine to enter Crimea, Cross noted that Russia has faith that Crimea really belongs to it.
“The Russian point of view is that Crimea is Russia. It has always been and always will be,” the general said. He emphasized that Crimea is a key issue when viewed from the Russian side and if Ukrainian soldiers start to seize Crimea, “we can see Russia taking more significant measures than it is now.”
