Great Britain seizes what is believed to be the largest shipment of cocaine in the country’s history: 5.7 tons
The UK’s National Crime Agency said it had seized 5.7 tonnes of cocaine in collaboration with the UK’s Border Force.
The agency’s press service said the seizure was believed to be the largest seizure of Class A drugs in UK history.
Packages of the drug were found and confiscated at the port of Southampton on February 8 in a shipment of bananas from South America.
