The UK authorities need to consider sending troops to Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the former Deputy Secretary of Defense of the United Kingdom, James Hippie, in an interview with Sky News.
“The British military can take part in training Ukrainian fighters and other support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but away from the front line,” Hippie said.
In addition, he believes that London needs to intensively prepare for war at a time when the level of threats in the world is increasing. According to him, it is necessary to strengthen by activating large forces of the “strategic reserve”, consisting of thousands of veterans who could potentially be called up for military service in a crisis.
