Mario Zagallo died yesterday, January 6, at the age of 92. As a footballer he won the 1958 and 1962 World Cups. In 1970, he won the tournament as head coach of the national team. His team included players such as Pele, Jairzinho, Roberto Rivelino and Tostao. Thus, Mr. Zagallo became the first person in the history of football to win the World Cup both as a player and as a coach. In 1994, he won another league title, but this time as assistant coach to Carlos Alberto Parreira. In 1998, Mr. Zagallo again led the national team, his team reached the final, but lost to France.
