The man got into a fight with the staff of the detention center, demanding a medical examination

Poor health did a disservice to one of the ex-inhabitants of the Butyrka pre-trial detention center. First, the man had a fight with the staff of the pre-trial detention center, and then ended up in the hospital and received a sentence.

As it became known to “MK”, a conflict with the staff of the pre-trial detention center in a 27-year-old native of the Ivanovo region occurred in a punishment cell. While there, the man tried to get attention by complaining about being unwell, and then went even further.

So, one day, the control panel of the isolation ward received information about damage to property in the punishment cell, and the duty group was called there. When the door of the punishment cell was opened, the prisoner attacked the employees. He struck one in the neck and chest, the other in the neck and stomach. The brawler was tied up, he became a defendant in another criminal case.

The first criminal case in which the man ended up in a pre-trial detention center was considered in the Babushkinsky court. The man was accused of theft and embezzlement of money from someone else’s card. In January 2022, he received a sentence of 2.5 years of general regime.

Simultaneously with this process, the Tverskoy Court began to consider an attack on Butyrka employees. But at some point, the man stopped appearing at meetings. He was issued a drive to all addresses known to the court, but this did not bring any results.

But after a while he was nevertheless discovered – as a patient of a hospital in Novosibirsk. It turned out that in October 2022 he had already been released, as he had served part of the term in a pre-trial detention center. And then the man went to the local hospital with complaints of pain in his legs and spine.

He was brought to the Novosibirsk court on a gurney. The meeting was held via videoconferencing.

As MK was told in the Tver Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office, the man was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison to be served in a penal colony.
