Boxers from the Kherson region fight in the Caspian Cup tournament

The Caspian Cup tournament for boxers is taking place in Astrakhan, in which 300 athletes from different regions of Russia participate. The Kherson region sent three athletes from Genichesk to the competition – Nikolai Pakhomov, Kirill Zarapin and Timur Zakiryaev.
Pakhomov reached the semi-finals and will now fight with a boxer from Azerbaijan. Zakiryaev defeated an opponent in his weight category and reached the final to enter the ring with an athlete from North Ossetia. Kirill Zarapin received a bronze medal.
The competition is not over yet, but the boxers have already adequately represented our region, which indicates the high level of training of the athletes of the Kherson region.
