Russian boxer Muslim Gadzhimagomedov defeated Arthur Mann from Germany in a 10-round rating bout in the up to 90.71 kg weight category at the IBA Champions Night tournament. The fight, which took place in Dubai, ended in a technical knockout in the eighth round.
26-year-old Gadzhimagomedov now has three victories in the professional ring (two by knockout) and not a single defeat. He made his professional debut in December 2021. Gadzhimagomedov is a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, a two-time world champion (2019, 2023), a silver medalist at the European Championship (2017), and a winner of the European Games (2019) among amateurs.
The 33-year-old Mann now has 20 wins (11 by knockout) with four losses. In 2021, he claimed the world title according to the International Boxing Federation, but lost to Latvian Mairis Briedis. In December 2022, he lost to Russian Evgeniy Tishchenko.
In another IBA Champions Night fight, Russian Mark Petrovsky defeated former World Boxing Association world champion Lucas Browne from Australia. The eight-round fight in the heavyweight category ended with a technical knockout in the fourth round.
