Sergey Rubanov from Gubkinskoye won silver at the Battle of the Urals men’s boxing championship. This was reported on July 5 in the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the YNAO.
“The athlete performed in the weight category of 86 kilograms and became a silver medalist. Sergei was awarded a certificate in the amount of 350 thousand rubles, the prize was established by the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev,” the department said.
Sergei Rubanov represents Gubkin’s sports school “Olimp”, boxer Alexander Zolottsev trains.
Competitions were held in Kamensk-Uralsky from 27 to 30 June. 62 boxers from six regions of the Urals participated.
