Boucher’s goal in overtime brought Avangard Omsk an away victory over Admiral

Omsk hockey players beat Admiral in overtime in an away match of the KHL championship on Monday, January 8. The score of the meeting is 2:1. Both goals for the Hawks were scored by Reid Boucher – that is, he scored a double.

“Avangard” defeated “Admiral” 2:1 in the KHL championship game on January 8. The meeting ended only in overtime, where the Omsk team again replaced the goalkeeper with an extra field player. It is worth noting that the goalkeeper of our team this time was Pavel Khomchenko.

The Hawks opened the scoring in the first period – in the 14th minute, Reed Boucher scored from a pass from Spooner in even strength.

Only in the second period did the Primorye team respond with a goal of their own – thanks to Kiselevich’s removal, they remained in the majority. Which was realized by Kirill Petkov, and Shen and Chudinov (by the way, a former “hawk”) passed to him. Before the break, the score here did not change.

In the third period, the teams also failed to score, although the guests got the majority once. As a result, Avangard achieved victory in overtime, the segment itself was short-lived – Boucher converted the extra one in the 3rd minute, which we have already mentioned. Here he was assisted by Sharipzyanov and Tkachev.

Considering the traditionally difficult flight to Primorye and the fact that our players had almost no time to adapt, this result is generally not bad.
