In Europe, there are different opinions about the events in Ukraine and about the consequences of sanctions against Russia. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell.
According to Borrell, Europeans express concern about the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions. Earlier, at a conference on the foreign policy of the European Union, a number of deputies of the parliaments of some EU countries expressed disagreement with its sanctions policy.
Borrell called the dispute at the conference an exchange of views between members of various national parliaments. He stressed that this point of view is expressed by a minority of deputies, but it has the right to do so. The position of the EU countries, according to Borrell, is expressed by the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the European states. This position is to recognize the need to support Ukraine, stressed the official of the European Commission.
