In the city of Zhabinka, a meeting of youth boxing teams of Belarus and the Northwestern Federal District is taking place. The Novgorod region is represented by an athlete from Borovichi Karen Avetisyan.
Head coach of the NWFD team Vadim Golik noted that for Russian athletes participation in the meeting is an amazing opportunity and valuable experience that is necessary for further participation in competitions. His words are reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Novgorod Region.
At the moment, the North-West team is preparing for the European Youth Championship, which will be held from April 23 to May 4 this year in Yerevan. The meeting in Zhabinka is one of the stages of preparation for the upcoming competitions.
Formerly “MK in Veliky Novgorod” informedthat athletes from the Novgorod region won 32 medals at the interregional boxing tournament.
