As noted by the President of the Crimean Football Union, Sergei Borodkin, the level of play on the peninsula has increased thanks to the fact that our graduates, football players from Crimea, continue to play in the teams.
“To sum it up, I think the championship was a success,” says Sergei Borodkin. – And the cup – the format that we started – we will continue next year. I believe that our level of play is much higher than in 2015, when we started our first championship. Then there were two favorites – the Sevastopol team and the Crimean Tavriya. Gradually all our teams became equal, we have absolutely no passing games.
Analyzing the Premier League championship, the president of the KFU notes that at the start eight clubs took part in it, and as events developed, the balance of power changed.
“I believe that we moved correctly and continue to move correctly,” he asserts. – Then two teams left: from the cities of Sevastopol and Yalta. We finished the game with six teams – this decision was made at the presidium. Accordingly, the format of the cup was completely changed. This gave the guys the opportunity to show themselves in the cup, because the cup is a completely separate tournament.
