Boris Skrynnik resigned as President of the International Bandy Federation

Following the results of the congress of the International Bandy Federation, the Russian Boris Skrynnik left the post of the president of the organization. He told TASS about this.
“Nothing bad happened. So far, I have been offered to become an adviser,” Mr. Skrynnik said. He added that the new president of the federation was appointed on his personal recommendation. He was replaced by the Norwegian Stein Pedersen.
Boris Skrynnik headed the International Federation in 2006. He is the President of the Bandy Federation of Russia.
The International Bandy Federation has decided to postpone the 2022 World Championship in Syktyvkar for an indefinite period. The championship was to be held from March 27 to April 3.
Almost immediately after the start of the military operation on February 24, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) published recommendations to sports federations on the “isolation” of Russian sports. The Russian sports authorities insisted on the discriminatory nature of the sanctions applied to the industry, and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation created an operational headquarters to deal with the most pressing problems that arise during the crisis.
