Bolshunov and Ustyugov collided and fell in the Russian Cup sprint semi-finals

Olympic champions, skiers Alexander Bolshunov and Sergey Ustyugov collided on the descent at the fifth stage of the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing.
The incident happened in Krasnogorsk near Moscow during the freestyle sprint semi-finals. Athletes fell, Bolshunov smashed his face. Both eventually failed to reach the final, although they avoided serious injuries.
Later, Ustyugov told reporters that he was ready to apologize if it turned out that it was he who was to blame for the clash.
Before that, on Sunday, Bolshunov cut off Ustyugov while overtaking. After Ustyugov refused to shake hands with him, saying that Bolshunov acted “not humanly.”
