Bochkarev: the level of housing in Moscow is growing every year

The level of housing provision in Moscow is increasing every year and today it is 22.3 square meters per inhabitant, Andrei Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction, shared details.
According to him, this figure in the capital is constantly growing, due to the high pace of construction.
Bochkarev pointed out that positive dynamics in terms of the annual volume of housing commissioned in Moscow has been recorded for the past 10 years: in 2021, a record volume of housing was commissioned in the city – 7.81 million square meters, and since the beginning of 2022, more than 4.9 million square meters.
The head of the construction complex explained: the fulfillment of the planned indicators for the volume of housing construction under the federal project “Housing” will make it possible next year to increase the indicator of housing provision on average per inhabitant.
The deputy mayor explained that the indicator of housing provision is calculated according to the following formula: the ratio of the total housing stock to the number of resident population at the end of the year.
