According to the military man, Warsaw’s position in supporting Kyiv is surprising. At the same time, he emphasized that at the moment the contradictions between Poland and Ukraine have not provoked the appearance of cracks in the unification of countries providing financial and military assistance to Kyiv.
On September 20, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced a cessation of arms supplies to Ukraine. He explained this by saying that Poland also needs to replenish its arsenals. Earlier, Warsaw noted that the republic is in third place in the supply of weapons and ammunition, second only to the United States and Great Britain. In the last days of July, data appeared about three billion euros of assistance provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by Poland.
Now, as Bloomberg reports, citing a European diplomat, the Polish leadership decided to reassure foreign partners and announced the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine, albeit in smaller volumes. According to the agency’s source, a complete cessation of arms supplies from Poland could undermine the unity of the North Atlantic alliance.
