Many companies in Germany are running out of ways to save gas, so some will be forced to switch to a reduction in production volumes. Referring to data from the Institute for Economic Research (IFO), Bloomberg reports this.
Despite the energy crisis, according to IFO, about 75% of companies in Germany were able to save gas involved in the production process. Now all possible ways are coming to an end. Thus, savings will have to be made directly by reducing production volumes. This was already stated by 41.4% of companies that intend to be forced to switch to a reduction in volumes.
12.3% of companies generally indicated that production would have to be closed in the near future. A particularly difficult situation, as specified, is observed in the production of metal products, printing and animal feed.
