Bloomberg: Apple laptops may get touch screens

Apple is considering equipping a new generation of MacBook Pro laptops with touch screens, reports Bloomberg.
According to the editor of the publication Mark Gurman, in 2025 a new generation of MacBook Pro may enter the market, which will receive the first ever touch screen. Along with this, laptops will be transferred to OLED displays, but otherwise the devices will retain their familiar format with a keyboard and touchpad. The new screens will support touch input and gestures similar to iPhones and iPads.
Apple has not officially commented on the rumors. Recall that the founder of the company, Steve Jobs, and his successor Tim Cook never supported the idea of equipping the MacBook with touch screens. The main reasons against this decision were the unsatisfactory ergonomics of the vertical screen and the risk of lowering iPad sales.
