The Moscow City Court rejected the complaint of blogger Ayaz Shabutdinov to extend his arrest until April 16. He is accused of fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Mr. Shabutdinov was detained on November 3, 2023. The basis for initiating a criminal case was the appeal of eight entrepreneurs who paid him a total of 5 million rubles. According to the investigation, the blogger created a false impression about the possibility of building a highly profitable business thanks to his program. Ayaz Shabutdinov does not admit guilt. He has been in pre-trial detention since November 4, 2023. February 13th to him extended arrest for two months.
