Blizzards and pressure drops expected in Moscow over the weekend

On February 18 and 19, Muscovites will experience unstable weather with blizzards, strong winds, fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric pressure.
According to the forecasts of the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand, snowfall will begin on Saturday, February 18, in the afternoon, and on Sunday a blizzard with wind gusts of up to 17 m/s is possible.
“Snowdrifts can grow by 10 cm. Their height will exceed normal values,” Vilfand quotes TASS.
On Saturday night -12..-10° is expected, during the day it will also be frosty: -7..-5°. And on Sunday, February 19, it will already get warmer: according to forecasts, at night -7..-5°, in the daytime -4..-2°.
In the coming weekend, people should be weather dependent more attentive to their health. In two days, atmospheric pressure can drop from today’s 755 to 735 mmHg, which is significantly below normal.
