Blinken: Hamas proposal offers chance for agreement with Israel
The head of the American foreign policy department, Antony Blinken, while on a visit to Tel Aviv, positively assessed the response of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas to proposals for a new deal with Israel.

Speaking to reporters, the US Secretary of State said that this response “gives a chance to reach an agreement” between the parties to the conflict.
“The United States has conveyed to Israel its view that the casualties among Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip continue to be too great,” Blinken added.
