According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, all countries of the world are interested in having a lot of food on the market and low prices for it. Therefore, he stressed that the grain deal should be resumed.
“We want to see this food in global markets. We want everyone to benefit from lower prices,” he said.
The head of the State Department also said that the US authorities are actively studying how to maximize the export of Ukrainian grain by land and water transport. At the same time, Washington understands that in the current situation it is practically impossible to compensate for the losses from the termination of the “grain agreement”.
Blinken also rebutted Russian claims that US sanctions were hindering the export of Russian products. He stressed that US sanctions excluded food products.
