Bing search engine from Microsoft headed The list of search engines used in China is used by over 37.4% of the country’s residents. This is stated in the report of the analytical company Statcounter for April 2023. In second place is Baidu – its share was 27.01%.

Sogou (16.36%) closes the top three, followed by Yandex (7.45%), Haosou (6.25%) and Google (5.2%). The sharp rise in Bing usage (nearly 10%) can be attributed to Microsoft’s innovations in search and AI: Bing has received integration with the ChanGPT chatbot that is gaining popularity. Microsoft’s search success meant that for a while, Samsung thought about changing the default search engine on their smartphones from Google to Bing.

Since then Google spent several presentations where she presented some of her products in the field of artificial intelligence, including the announcement of the integration of the Bard chatbot into search results.
