Bill Gates: The world is ill-prepared for the next pandemic

American billionaire, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, in an article for The New York Times, made a statement that the world has not done enough to prepare for the next pandemic.
Gates is convinced that in order to prepare for a possible new pandemic, a well-funded system is needed, ready at any time to take action in case of a threat. As the businessman noted, at the moment the world is repeating exactly the same mistakes that were made on the eve of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Microsoft co-founder stressed that he oversees the Emergency Corps, which is being created by the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners. Gates said the Corps will be tasked with conducting outbreak drills and taking action if a pathogen spreads rapidly.
