US presidential attorney Richard Sauber said five more pages of classified documents were found in Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington. The lawyer noted that all materials were immediately transferred to the Ministry of Justice.
The lawyer visited Biden’s house on Thursday, January 12, to hand over previously discovered documents to US Department of Justice officials.
“While I was handing over the documents to the officials of the Ministry of Justice accompanying me, five additional pages with classification marks were found among the materials with him, for a total of six pages,” Sauber said.
Earlier, CBS News, citing a federal law enforcement officer, reported that the total number of classified documents found on US President Joe Biden is about 20. Of this number, about 10 documents found in the Biden think tank contained top secret information. Approximately the same number of documents were found in Biden’s house in Wilmington, Delaware, but there was no top secret information there.
US Attorney Secretary Merrick Garland announced that he had appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the situation. White House lawyers are now in contact with the Justice Department on this matter. Joe Biden himself made a short statement in which he admitted that he kept the secret houses in his “personal library.” He also promised to cooperate with the investigation.
