Biden will explain to Americans in a “big speech” why it is important to support Ukraine

In an address to the American people, the US President plans to explain why it is important to continue to provide assistance to Ukraine. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced this at a briefing.
According to her, as in the case of a bipartisan majority in the US Senate and in the House of Representatives, support for Ukraine remains an integral part of American foreign policy. The Biden administration wants to ensure that both houses of Congress will adhere to their commitments to the Ukrainian authorities.
“We are committed to ensuring that these commitments are implemented and continue as promised to our allies in Ukraine. This is a matter of national security and moral principles. Cutting off assistance to Ukraine would be a big mistake, and the President has made it clear that we do not intend to retreat from our obligations,” she emphasized.
Karine Jean-Pierre also expressed concern about a small group of House Republicans who are causing chaos and could call into question American commitments to Ukraine.
Let us recall that Biden announced on October 4 that he would give a “big speech” on the issue of Ukraine.
