Biden to meet with Zelensky at NATO summit in Vilnius

US President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit in Vilnius. This was announced by Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan during a briefing in the capital of Lithuania.
“Tomorrow the president will have the opportunity to meet with Zelensky,” he said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).
Biden’s plane has already landed in Vilnius, he flew to Lithuania on the evening of July 10. Earlier that Biden could meet with Zelensky, wrote Politico. According to the publication, the meeting could take place on July 12.
In addition, Biden plans to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As Politico wrote, a meeting with the Turkish leader is scheduled for July 11. During it, Biden may discuss Sweden’s NATO membership with Erdogan. The plans of the two leaders to meet at the summit on July 9 were announced by the administration of the Turkish president. Later this information confirmed and in the White House. The meeting between Biden and Erdogan is scheduled for 18:00 local time (coincides with Moscow time).
The NATO summit will be held from 11 to 12 July in Vilnius. It is expected that during this event a number of important decisions will be made, including the discussion of Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
