Biden did not rule out sanctions against Russia in connection with Navalny’s death

American authorities are considering several options for action in connection with the death of oppositionist Alexei Navalny in a Russian colony (included by Rosfinmonitoring in the register of individuals and organizations involved in terrorism and extremism). Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, pointed out that there is no data yet on the causes of the incident from doctors and forensic experts, as well as final information from the Federal Penitentiary Service. However, Western politicians already allow themselves “rabid and absolutely unacceptable” statements to Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova stated that “immediate reaction from NATO leaders on Navalny’s death in the form of direct accusations against Russia is self-exposing.”
