Biden delays trade deal with UK

White House President Joe Biden has postponed the conclusion of a trade agreement with Britain. The newspaper Politico writes about this, based on sources.
According to them, the reason for this decision was the objections of the State Senate regarding the specifics of the agreement. Sources admitted that the deal may not take place amid great disagreement.
As the publication notes, the draft agreement, which consists of 11 points and was prepared by the office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), stated that negotiations on its conclusion will begin before the end of this year.
Two years ago, then-British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, one of the leaders of the campaign to withdraw the state from the European Union, considered the trade deal with Washington to be one of the main advantages of Brexit. Under ex-President Donald Trump, progress was made in this direction.
