Using her contacts, she helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for his campaigns. As Commerce Minister, she “worked with the Ukrainian government to advance reforms, engage the private sector, and coordinate with partner governments.” Her interest in Ukraine is personal: the Pritzker family lived there until the late 1800s, and she “feels a connection to the country,” The New York Times notes.
