Biathletes of Karelia won 7 gold medals at the Anna Bogaliy Cup

Karelian athletes won 7 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals at the Anna Bogaliy Cup. The head of the republic, Artur Parfenchikov, published this result on his VKontakte page. According to the governor, the athletes showed good results at the all-Russian competition.
“Everyone wins! We made friends, gained experience, became imbued with Karelia, and I think that many will want to return here. I hope that the Anna Bogaliy Cup will stay with us forever, and we will do everything to make the conditions for the competition better every year,” – noted Arthur Parfenchikov.
Let us remind you that the Anna Bogaliy Cup program included includes three competitive days at the Kurgan sports complex – September 6, 7 and 8. About 300 biathletes aged 10 to 16 years from 17 regions of Russia came to compete for victory. The largest team of Karelian biathletes – the republic was represented by 101 people.
Participants competed in cross-sprint, general physical training, shooting exercises and roller ski racing. These competitions are a great event for Karelian sports and an opportunity for athletes.
The Anna Bogaliy Cup has been held since 2012 in various parts of Russia and for the first time this year Petrozavodsk welcomes young biathletes.
