Bella Durandina from Omsk took gold at the Russian Cup in Muay Thai wrestling

Omsk resident Bella Durandina won the Russian Muay Thai Cup and was awarded the “Best Fighter of the Russian Cup” award in the women’s division.
The competition took place from November 27 to December 4 in the village of Bolshoi Sukhodol, Nizhny Novgorod region. They were attended by 842 athletes from 48 regions of the country.
According to the regional Ministry of Sports, the Omsk region team also took six more awards – Samira Sharypova and Roman Dorozhkin won silver medals, Dmitry Milovanov, Ignat Leifrid, Grigory Belogolov, Ratmir Bakhotsky won bronze.
Thai boxing or Muay Thai is a martial art of Thailand, its elements are used in mixed martial arts. In modern Muay Thai, you can strike with fists, shins, elbows and knees – because of this, Muay Thai is called “eight limb fighting”.
We previously wrote that a table tennis center would be built in Omsk, as local youth show great interest in this sport.
