Belgorod territorial defense will be trained on the basis of military units of the Ministry of Defense

Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that a territorial defense group of 100 people would go to training at the military units of the Russian Defense Ministry. Training will take place both in the Belgorod region and in other regions.

“We discussed proposals for the continuation of military rallying on the basis of military units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This training takes place both on the territory of the region and on the territory of other regions. Another group of 100 people will go there in the near future,” Mr. Gladkov wrote on Telegram. The decision was made at a meeting with the commander of the regiment and the commanders of self-defense battalions.

According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Belgorod region’s theoretical defense is provided with uniforms, helmets, body armor and the necessary equipment: metal detectors, copters, binoculars, first aid kits.

May 30, the head of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin spoke with criticism of the organization of training of the defense fighters in the Belgorod region. According to him, one of the fighters of PMC “Wagner” saw the training of members of the defense. He stated that there “there is no discipline, training is carried out for three hours a day, and for as many days as anyone came.”
