Belgorod region asked the government to compensate for the damage from shelling

The Belgorod region has applied to the government of the Russian Federation for financial assistance to repair the damage caused by the shelling of the armed forces of Ukraine (APU). Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko spoke about this at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

“The regions consider the damage and apply to the government in order to compensate from the reserve fund. I don’t remember at what stage it is (assessment – ed.), but there was definitely such an appeal in the Belgorod region, ”- explained Abramchenko (quote from RIA Novosti).

In early June, Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov declaredthat the restoration of enterprises that suffered as a result of the shelling of the Shebekinsky urban district may require 10 billion rubles.

On June 8, Gladkov said that he had reported on the situation in the region to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who promised to provide assistance. After that, the regional budget received federal funds. The governor added that the government has also allocated funds to the region so that “we can accommodate everyone who has fled their homes because of the shelling.”

Earlier on June 15, Gladkov said that more than 40,000 residents received a one-time payment of 10,000 rubles. Today will begin to pay 50,000 rubles. those who lived in settlements to which entry is currently prohibited.

In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. On June 6, the press service of United Russia, citing Gladkov, reported that almost 60,000 people had been evacuated from the shelled territories.
