The special services of Poland were involved in the preparation of sabotage against the Russian A-50 aircraft at the Machulishchi airfield, informed “Belt” with reference to the deputy head of the Investigation Department of the KGB of Belarus Konstantin Bychek.
Primary investigative actions allow us to conclude that agents of the Polish special services were involved in the preparation of the act of terrorism, Byczek said. According to him, among the saboteurs were “fugitive Belarusians”, who were active participants in the rallies in August 2020.
“The operation to search for and detain criminals took place under the direct control of the head of state, who were immediately instructed to close the state border and take other comprehensive measures,” said Bychek.
He added that as a result of these actions, an “agent network” was “opened and liquidated” from among Belarusian citizens who took part “in ensuring the activities of a terrorist agent.”
On March 7, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the arrest of more than 20 participants in the sabotage at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk. According to the president, the detainees tried to destroy the A-50 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). During the interrogation, one of the detainees, a citizen of Ukraine and Russia, Mykola Shvets, spoke about working for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
