Tactical missile systems and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) are located near the western borders of Belarus, the check of combat readiness in the army of the republic continues, the BelTA agency reports with reference to the country’s defense ministry.

“The army clearly demonstrates that Polonaise and Tochka will instantly respond to any attempt at aggression against Belarus,” told in the department.

“Polonaise” is a Belarusian multiple launch rocket system, “Tochka” is a Soviet tactical missile system. In the west, the republic borders on Poland, in the northwest – on Lithuania.

Units of mechanized formations, special operations forces, missile troops and artillery operate on the terrain, the department said.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly stated that the West is preparing to invade the territory of Belarus. He emphasized that the authorities would respond to attack attempts “symmetrically, adequately.”
