A bill to suspend the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) in relation to Poland and the Czech Republic has been submitted to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus. The corresponding document was published on the Belarusian National Legal Portal.

The bill proposes the suspension of the CFE Treaty of November 19, 1990 in relation to the Republic of Poland and the Czech Republic. The Ministry of Defense of Belarus indicated that the practical implementation of the statement to increase the Polish army to 300 thousand people would be a gross violation of the final act of negotiations on the number of personnel of conventional armed forces in Europe, signed by Poland as a party to the CFE Treaty.

The Belarusian military department recalled that, according to this document, the strength of the Polish Army cannot exceed 234 thousand people.
