BeIN Sports reveals the details of its 11th season

It is the event of the season and particularly that of the 11th of beIN Sports. From November 20 to December 18, the pay channel will broadcast the entire competition on its antennas. During a press presentation organized this Tuesday in Paris, Florent Houzot, the editorial director, recalled that of the 64 matches of the World Cup, 36 will be offered exclusively on beIN (the others will be co-broadcast by TF1) .

For the occasion, beIN Sports 1 will be live every day from 10 a.m. to midnight, a total of more than 230 hours during the competition, with most of its teams present in Qatar.

The majority of Champions League matches

The other major right of beIN Sports, that of the Champions League, allows it, like last season, to offer the majority of matches in the competition (apart from the two best posters co-broadcast by Canal + and RMC Sport). Thomas Thouroude will present the Club beIN Champions, from 6:15 p.m., on each day of competition and Darren Tulett will continue to host the Champions Show after the match. The Champions League multiplex will be presented from 8:40 p.m. on beIN Sports 2 by Florian Genton and Luis Fernández.

While beIN Sports will continue to broadcast La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the SüperLig as foreign championships, for its two Ligue 2 posters, the channel has replaced its commentator-presenter Samuel Ollivier, who has left for other channels including that of L’Équipe, by Clément Grèzes.

On the emissions side, all the appointments of the last season (beIN Europe Club, beIN Center, VIP Lounge, Football Show, Europe Arena, NBA Extra, Rugby pack…) are renewed, supplemented by a documentary section, beIN Story, broadcast every 15 days.

The renewed European Rugby Cups

In terms of rights, the channel confirmed information from L’Équipe concerning the renewal of those for the European Rugby Cup with “the broadcasting of 100% of the matches of French clubs” for the main and “of the two most beautiful posters of French clubs involved in the Challenge Cup”. In rugby league, in addition to the broadcast of the Men’s World Cup (November 15-19), beIN Sports specifies that it will broadcast the matches of the Blues, the semi-finals and the final of the Women’s World Cup and the wheelchair World Cup organized at the same period.

Already broadcaster of the three most beautiful posters of each day of Liqui Moly Starligue in handball, beIN Sports will offer every Friday, at 8:30 p.m., the most beautiful poster of Ligue A volleyball. As for the Betclic Elite, the channel hopes to be able to continue to offer at least one poster per day of the Championship. She finally recalled her agreement for the broadcast of the qualifying matches of the French basketball team for the 2023 World Cup, as well as the competition, but also of the entire 2022 Women’s World Cup (September 22-October 1). ) and the Women’s Euro 2023 (June 15-25).

beIN will also continue to broadcast US sports with the NBA, NFL and MLB. On the tennis side, beIN still owns the rights to the WTA, Wimbledon, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.
